Interview with Sandra Vende
What inspires you?
Traveling inspires me, whether it is the quietude of a desert surrounded with red rocks or a hectic street in a metropolitan area where I can get to know different people, city dynamics and cuisine. It is always a learning experience that I bring back home.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is Tulum, located about an hour south of Cancun, with its Mayan ruins overlooking the Caribbean Sea and profusion of coastal activities.
What is your motto or favorite quote to live by?
“To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive.” Robert Louis Stevenson (1881)
What are your hobbies, outside of your business?
I enjoy hiking very much, which I usually do when I travel. I also love going to the theater and checking out plays, musicals, operas or live concerts in different cities.
Are you involved with Charity work? Tell us about it.
Each year in December, my company puts together a charity “Flight” to the North Pole for children with difficulties. I was very glad to be part of its preparation this year.

Interview with Erica Gindele
What inspires you?
People! Each time I travel to a new destination I meet beautiful and fascinating people from the minute I get to the airport. When I return from a trip, it is both the people and the place that are in my heart.
How did you get your start in the business?
I’ve been filled with wanderlust since childhood. I remember drawing States out of a hat for our 4th grade geography project, I prayed I would get Hawaii…and I did! The exotic has always filled my daydreams. In high school competed in Travel & Tourism in DECA and had a job at the front desk at the Radisson Hotel. I began my career as a travel consultant 13 years ago selling vacations to Mexico, and I have been a destination wedding specialist since 2007.
Do you have any kids? Tell us about them.
I have two crazy little boys! Owen is a sensitive and gifted five year old. His baby brother, Andrew, is an affectionate and fun loving four year old. The other day I overheard them playing and Andrew said to Owen, “Okay, lets shoot some guns, put on some dresses, and have a puppet show!” Every day is an adventure.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
Nearly impossible to answer, but the island of Molokai was captivating. It is like a small Midwest town in the middle of the Pacific, with pine forest in the center of the island, dramatic ocean cliffs, and unspoiled beaches. The people were incredible! Their connection to the Earth and environment is astounding.
If you could visit one place in the world where would it be and why?
Just one?! Today, it would be the Amalfi Coast by sailboat. The sensuality of Italy along with the azure Mediterranean Sea sounds like heaven on Earth.
What is your motto or favorite quote to live by?

What are your hobbies, outside of your business?
As a business owner and mommy, there isn’t much time left! However, yoga restores my soul and cooking is my favorite way to reconnect with the people I treasure.
