Interview with Kristin Fawver


What inspires you?
Weddings! I know, I know—token answer, but it’s true. I have always loved weddings, in fact I used to cut photos out of magazines and make wedding scrapbooks, and this was when I was like ten years old. I love that each wedding is unique to the couple and whether it is simple, elegant, extravagant, intimate or big time they are all beautiful.

Do you have any pets? Tell us about them.
Yes! I have a three-year-old puggle named Bailey. I treat her more like a human-baby than a dog, but when you’re that cute you deserve to get spoiled. She’s known around the office as “Schoob.”

What’s your favorite vacation spot?
I am in love with New York City. I love all of the history, all of the energy, the amazing restaurants. I love that you can walk two blocks and be in a completely different neighborhood with its own unique charm. I love that every time you visit you could go all new places. I truly love everything about it, even that stinky sewer smell.

What is your most cherished possession?
My wedding band. The ring was actually my grandmothers and she gave it to me for my twenty-first birthday. After my husband proposed he had it restored and added stones to it. I love looking at my left-hand and being reminded of my grandparents and their amazing relationship and now my husband and our marriage.

What has been your favorite wedding and why?
I would be lying if I didn’t say my own. I was just married on November 5, 2011 and the day truthfully could not have gone any better. It was everything I had always dreamed of and more. So cheesy, but I mean it.

What is your motto or favorite quote to live by?
My favorite quote is from Eleanor Roosevelt, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” I’m a dreamer and I like to think that dreaming has got me to a pretty good place and will continue to. However, my personal motto is “When life is down and brings the blues, shop for shop for shop for shoes.”

What are your hobbies, outside of your business?
I am a die-hard Golden Gopher football fan. I have had season tickets for the past 9 years and have been to three away games and a bowl game! My closet consists mostly of maroon and gold and my fiancé even proposed on the fifty-yard-line of TCF Bank Stadium.
