Interview with Jared Anderson
What inspires you?
Every single couple of mine inspires me, to be able to see and capture their unconditional love is one of the biggest joys of my job!
Who is the person you’d most like to meet or spend the day with and why?
Jerry Ghionis – one of the world’s best wedding photographers. I will be doing his workshop this July to better my photography skills to better serve my future brides and grooms.
Do you have any pets? Tell us about them.
I have a 2-year old pure bred black lab named Drake. I spend a lot of time with him during the week, he runs 4 miles every morning, gets to swimming 3-4 times a week in the summer after his run. He’s one of the most well-behaved dogs you’ll ever meet and he will lick your face off with so much love!
If you could visit any place in the world where would that be and why?
I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding in a castle in Germany, or a wine vineyard in Italy, simply because of the amazing scenery.
What is your motto or favorite quote to live by?
Live every day like it’s your last, because tomorrow you might not be here. Never take advantage of having someone around for that same reason, one day they might not be here. Live with no regrets.
What has been your favorite Wedding and why?
One of my favorite weddings was just over a month ago (December 3, 2011) in St. Lucia, it was almost the same group of people I photographed in Puerto Rico the year before and we just all had a blast together and got some amazing images.
What are your hobbies, outside of your business?
I love riding motorcycle and doing day trips all around Minnesota and Wisconsin just riding aimlessly and going wherever the road takes me. I also love being out on my boat, (born and raised on the river), grilling out, cold adult beverages and sun, and also being around friends laughing! It doesn’t get much better than that.

A brief introduction to Jared Lee Photography:
Images preserve a moment in time that can never be duplicated. Whether created on film or a chip, professionally taken photographs inspire joy and stimulate the emotions, even at a glance. It is my goal not only to serve the needs of my clients today, but also to aggressively research and develop products and services that will meet their needs in the future. My vision for the future is to reach and maintain the highest level of excellence in professional imaging.
I specialize in photojournalistic style weddings, senior and family portraits. My photography is always tailored to meet your needs and desires. I never do a formal group portrait once your party has started. My philosophy is to be low key and unobtrusive, yet there for every important photograph. If you desire, I will be happy to advice and work with you on every aspect of your wedding day to make it an enjoyable and memorable event.
My cameras are state of the art Canon, the finest in the industry, assuring you of the sharpest and best color photography available. I work with many lenses from extreme wide angle to long telephotos. I am equipped to handle any situation. My back up equipment is the same as my primary equipment, so in the unlikely event of equipment failure, there will be no loss of picture quality.
As I see it, there are three equally important aspects to photography: equipment, technique, and creative vision. Neither one is useful without the other. Having creative vision without the tools necessary to adequately bring it to life is one of the greatest possible frustrations. Having tools and technique without the creative vision is one of the greatest possible wastes of time and money.
