We are convinced… Sandy May has a dream job!  Photography is her passion, one which she gets to enjoy in beautiful Jamaica in the Winter months and in Minnesota the rest of the time. She has a unique ability to capture the “real” person behind the lens and utilize nature’s surroundings to enhance the photographs!

Sandy has a unique vision for wedding photography that shows in the memories she’s able to capture on a couple’s wedding day.  Her approach is to tell your individual wedding story by thoughtfully revealing the emotion, joy and beauty that you have dreamed about for your day. She looks for the distinctive compositions and human connections that reveal the people and events that make up your celebration.

The wedding we’re showcasing is of Jamie & Brian – and their Destination Wedding in Negril, Jamaica!  I seriously wanted to hop on a plane immediately to the beautiful island after viewing these photos!!!  The couple hired Sandy May Photography and also worked with Ariana Kotoski Baxter (a Roseville, MN native, who works now as a Wedding Planner in Jamaica).  Jamie & Brian’s wedding day was one that was “blessed” not only with Love, but with some very strong winds that made it all the more interesting!  Sandy handled this “windy” obstacle with ease and used the wind to her advantage.  She truly has the experience to capitalize on nature’s surroundings and unexpected weather, to shoot some really amazing photos!

Jamie & Brian’s wedding took place on the cliffs of the West End, which is the non-beach part of Negril, Jamaica.  It is a gorgeous stretch of landscape made of rock cliffs, caves, and is famous for high dives from great heights into the blue-green Caribbean.  It is such an amazing place!!!  Their wedding guests all stayed in a very elegant boutique resort made up of private villas named Villas Sur Mer.
